We are looking for our next Australian Volunteer. VESS’s focus in threatened species and ecosystem conservation. Our current work is focused on dugongs and seagrass, bats, coral reef protection, reducing plastic pollution of our oceans and more. The volunteer’s assignment will be to assist us to find sustainable funding, help us publicise our work and publish our results in the scientific literature as well as helping us to develop citizen science programmes to help reduce the data gaps we have on the fauna and flora of Vanuatu and engage the local people in science and exploring the natural world. We are a small team and you would have a chance to get involved in everything we do, including the International Coastal Cleanup and the Sea Slug Census and well as filed trips including to the outer islands.
